About Ann

“I love my work because I get to connect on a heart level with people all day. I get to hear their stories and feel with them as they move toward healing. It’s a joy and honor. I offer my full attention and delve deep to help people find the simplest solutions that bring life into balance.”

I’m a general practitioner experienced in treating all types people for all types of conditions. I’m trained as a naturopath, an acupuncturist, an herbalist, and a yoga teacher, which gives me a lot of tools in my toolbox!

I diagnose disease through conducting a very thorough history, reviewing past medical records, performing physical exams, and by ordering and evaluating lab testing and medical imaging as necessary.

A primary way that I treat disease is through lifestyle recommendations, including suggestions about diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management. I also regularly prescribe dietary supplements or herbal formulas, based on modern research findings, and/or an extensive history of their effectiveness.

Part of my job is to educate. I love to make medical understanding more accessible. I share my assessments and fully explain my treatments. I strive to collaborate with patients to co-create solutions to treat and prevent disease. I am also a perpetual student!

I often include acupuncture in my treatments. When treating pain, I usually treat with a combination of therapeutic massage and acupuncture, and may include recommendations on postural alignment or therapeutic exercise as well. I am licensed to prescribe pharmaceutical drugs, and to refer to specialists, as needed. I do not currently perform gynecological exams as a part of my practice, nor would I serve as a child’s primary pediatrician.

My favorite healing modality is love. I have seen how cultivating a caring and compassionate relationship with patients is the very best medicine.
