Using the full spectrum of Chinese Medicine, I am here to assist the innate healing abilities of your body, mind and spirit. By understanding your unique situation and set of circumstances, I can uncover and uproot the underlying cause of illness. Within each of my patients, I believe there are unlimited possibilities for healing.
I specialize in treating autoimmune conditions, digestive problems, skin diseases, and all kinds of acute and chronic pain. My approach to these conditions is to carefully listen to your health concerns, so I can understand how you experience them. I also attend to the record of your experience as it presents itself in your pulse, your complexion and other subtle patterns of the body. This will enable me to uncover the source of your issues. From there, I can craft a comprehensive Chinese Medicine treatment plan, customized for you.
Wellness is a process, but ultimately it is so much more than just following a strict regime of avoiding foods and activities to control symptoms. It’s about fundamentally transforming your body from the inside out. By working together, we can unlock your innate potential for well-being, and help you achieve greater vitality and freedom in all aspects of your life.
I received my Doctorate of Science in Oriental Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine here in Portland. This program is unique in North America for its dedication to a comprehensive and authentic Chinese Medicine education, rooted in the principles of the Chinese Classics. My studies emphasized immersion in these ancient source texts to understand their application in treating contemporary health problems. The culmination of my training was a traditional mentorship with Brandt Stickley, L.Ac, which focused on pulse diagnosis, acupuncture and herbal medicine as transmitted through the Meng He Ding lineage of Dr. John H.F. Shen.
I have completed clinical rotations in public health clinics throughout the Portland Metro Area, including Outside In, Hooper Detoxification Center, and the Asian Health & Service Center, where I treated complex and recalcitrant diseases using acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and herbal medicine./?php // If comments are open or we have at least one comment, load up the comment template //if ( comments_open() || '0' != get_comments_number() ) : // comments_template(); //endif; //?>
